About eFlow
eFlow is the barrier-free tolling system on the M50. It aims to make the motorway work much better for you.
Overhead cameras and detectors automatically record your electronic tag or vehicle number plate, so you can pass through the toll point at normal driving speed, avoiding queues and reducing stress and frustration.
Accounts and payment methods
A range of account options are available, such as pre-paid or post-paid.
You also have a choice of payment method, such as direct debit (this only applies to
Direct Debits for bank accounts held in the Republic of Ireland), debit card or cash. If you do not have a credit / debit card or a direct debit account, you can choose to pay your tolls by cash in a participating Payzone outlet.
Read more about payment options or register for an account.
Using other eToll plazas
eFlow tags are fully interoperable: that means you can use them on all other eToll plazas on Ireland's road network (Note: New eFlow Tags will work immediately on the M50 toll road; however it can take up to 48 hours to become active on all other toll roads).
Please note that eFlow video (number plate) accounts are only applicable for the M50 motorway. So if you want a hassle-free drive through all the eToll plazas in Ireland, register today for an electronic tag.
Using other toll tags
If you have electronic tags from other providers - MiniTag, Easytrip (merger of EazyPass and eTrip), Eirtag, PassDirect and Tolltag - you can use any of these tags on the M50 and avail of the lowest toll charges available.
If you wish to register with another tag provider, please log on to the tag provider's website. For a full list and to compare tags, see www.tagcompare.ie.
