How can you pay for your journey?

A: Tag registration

By far the easiest and the cheapest way for frequent users to pay is to register for an electronic tag. Register for your eFlow tag now - FREE while stocks last. (A monthly account fee of €1.23 per Tag applies.)

You can also use tags from other operators, see www.tagcompare.ie for details. eFlow tags work on all other toll roads in Ireland.

If you choose a pre-paid account, the charges are automatically deducted from your account each time you use the toll road. If you opt for a post-paid account, you are charged at the end of each month.

Note: Your Tag will work immediately on the M50 toll road; however it can take up to 48 hours to become active on all other toll roads

B: Video registration (M50 only)

Or you can set up a vehicle number plate based payment account, which will be debited for each journey you make.

If you choose a pre-paid account, the charges are automatically deducted from your account each time you use the toll road. If you opt for a post-paid account, you are charged at the end of each month.

Video registration with eFlow works for the M50 only. There is no monthly account management fee for video registration.

C: Non-registration

If you do not register, you have until 8pm the following day to pay for your journey. If this deadline passes and you have not made payment at a participating Payzone outlet, online at www.eflow.ie or at our call centre (LoCall: 1890 50 10 50) Monday to Sunday 7am to 11pm, a Standard Toll Request (STR) with an additional charge of €3 will be issued.

  • Pay here
  • Over the phone, using our dedicated customer Lo-Call number
  • At participating Payzone outlets nationwide

D: Penalties

If you miss the deadline (8pm), a penalty of €3 will be issued by post  in the form of a Standard Toll Request (STR) and you are liable for further charges for late payment. Click here to pay penalty notices that you have already received.

E: Good to know

Some types of vehicle and road users are exempt and do not have to pay tolls on the barrier-free M50. These include:

  1. Motorcycles
  2. Specially adapted vehicles for disabled persons
