How else would you celebrate Easter than a trip to a chocolate factory? Let your inner Willy Wonka shine through for the day, where you can walk around the museum, learn all about the origins of chocolate and Butlers before finally, getting to decorate your own egg. The Easter bunny will be making an appearance where he will greet you at the factory, and you can take part in a fun-filled egg hunt after each tour, with lots of chocolate to be discovered!
Tickets are €12.85 each for both adults and children, but there are family packages available and can be purchased HERE.
With the weather starting to pick up, now is a great time to take in the outdoors and Airfield is the perfect place to head. Based in Dundrum, Airfield used to be a family home to the Overend family but is now open to the public where you can visit Conal and Carroll the donkeys along with all the other animals. They also hold daily talks where you can watch their cows being milked and even have a little taster! If animals aren’t your thing, you can tour the many gardens the estate has to offer or take the history of the patrons. After a long day, you can relax at their restaurant on site and tuck into meals, with all the produce coming from the estate!
The best part is the farm and grounds are free to enter! For more information on Airfield check out their website.
Want to do something good while munching on chocolate? Cadburys has lined up a unique family egg hunt with all participants receiving some delicious chocolate on completion!
