#HopontheM50 - Things To Do

Many people think the M50 is just a boring road, but we have some news for you! We have come up with a short list of things to do and places to visit, so it’s time to pack up your car for some exploring!

Know other areas you know around the M50? Let us know on our Social Media pages with hashtag #HoponM50

National Aquatic Centre

With the weather still more rainy than sunny, the aquatic centre is the perfect choice to spend the day indoors while having lots of fun. Home to Irelands largest water park, you can spend the day on the Master Blaster or taking it easy on the lazy river.  It also holds swimming and diving lessons for all age groups, or you can pretend to be back on Baywatch with a rookie lifeguard programme. Want to stay dry? They have a state-of-the-art health club and gym. For times and prices check out their website

Tayto Park

With a whole host of activities, Tayto Park has something everyone can enjoy – you can even meet Mr Tayto! The Park is set to re-open in the next few weeks after staying closed all winter, so we’re giving you a heads up to be first in the queue for all the roller-coasters.  If that’s not your thing, you can have a relaxing walk around the zoo and see all types of animals from tigers to donkeys. Off to the Shops...

Liffey Valley, Blanchardstown and Dundrum are just a few places off the M50 where you can shop to your heart’s content. Each centre has a whole host of retail spaces from high-end Harvey Nichols and BT2 to everyday Penneys and Dunnes – there is something for everyone! Want something exclusive? Krispy Kreme and Michael Kors are a few names which have their only stores in Ireland here. You never have to worry about parking the City Centre again!

Hop on the M50 (see what we did 😉), and in less than two hours you could be discovering a brand-new city. Belfast is full of things to do from the famous Titanic Experience to the Giants Causeway. You can also visit Belfast Zoo or get your history fix with a visit to Crumlin Road Gaol. Have your car with you? Take a detour out of the city, and you could be exploring Winterfell and other Game of Thrones locations before the new season starts. If you need anything else to convince you to visit your better off staying at home. For more information on visiting Belfast click HERE

Direction from M50: Take the M50 to the M1, and it’s a straight road ahead

The West is one of the unique parts of Ireland for visitors to explore and Galway is a city not to sleep on. One of our must do here is exploring around Eyre Square or getting our pizza fix at The Dough Bros on Upper Abbeygate Street. While Galway is excellent all year round, we recommend the summer as there are plenty of festivals on for you to join in the fun.

Directions from M50: exit junction 3, and take the M4, then continue to the M6 to get there.
