It’s that time of year again!
With the excitement of the World Cup slowly starting to die down and as football fever releases its grip on the nation, the eFlow FAI Summer Soccer Schools are kicking off at venues across the country.
Over the next few weeks, thousands of young football fans from across Ireland will descend on the week-long camps. The Summer Soccer Schools are a great chance for kids to both improve their sporting prowess and learn new skills in a fun-filled atmosphere.
We’re delighted to play our part in this great initiative once again, as it enters its 18th year.
The 2014 camps were launched in June at the Aviva by ambassadors David Meyler and Stephanie Roche.
Stephanie, a graduate of the eFlow FAI Summer Soccer Schools herself, is a key part of the national squad but also has bragging rights for that viral goal which has had over two million hits on YouTube to date.
Cork-born Meyler holds midfield for both the Republic of Ireland and Premier League side Hull City.
They were joined at the launch by eFlow Marketing Manager, Emma Durkin. Speaking at the event she said:
‘eFlow are proud to support the FAI Summer Soccer Schools again this year. It’s terrific to see so many kids keeping active, learning new skills and, most importantly, having fun.’
The camps are open to children between the ages of six and fourteen. Players of all abilities are welcome. To read more about the eFlow FAI Summer Soccer Schools click here.
