There was an incident on the M50 Motorway on Friday evening at the eFlow toll point. This resulted in a temporary closure of the motorway for a number of hours while the Emergency Services dealt with a person who accessed one of the gantries spanning the motorway. The Emergency Services resolved the incident safely for all concerned.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland and eFlow would like to thank the Emergency Services for their assistance with this unusual event and are relieved that nobody was hurt.
eFlow engineering and maintenance personnel are currently on site to assess and repair any damage and to prevent any possible similar incidents occurring again.
Power is now restored at the M50 gantry and systems are back up and running as of late yesterday evening. From all at eFlow, thank you for your patience.
