If you haven\u2019t paid for your journey(s) through the M50 toll before 8pm the day after you have travelled, then you have missed the payment deadline.<\/p>\n A penalty letter will be issued by eFlow to the registered vehicle owner\u2019s address shortly.[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I think there might be old unpaid fines against my license plate number” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n You can contact our customer service team on 0818 50 10 50<\/a> and one of our customer advisors can speak to you about your query.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I\u2019ve missed the payment deadline but have not got a fine” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If you have missed the 8pm M50 toll payment deadline, but not yet received a penalty letter from eFlow, please hold on until you receive your letter before making payment. You will need the Journey Reference Number listed on the penalty letter in order to pay.<\/p>\n If you only pay the original toll for a journey with a penalty, the penalty will remain outstanding afterwards against your vehicle. You cannot pay for a penalty on the eFlow.ie without a Journey Reference Number; therefore, you must wait for the letter.<\/p>\n If you already paid the toll charge and would like to pay the penalty only, please call us to make an additional \u20ac3.50 payment to cover the penalty.<\/p>\n Underpayment will result in further penalties being issued.<\/p>\n Once the penalty letter arrives, you have 14 days from the date of issue to pay the full amount due. If you don\u2019t pay the full balance within the 14 days, further fines are applied.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”What will the penalty letter say?” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If you miss the eFlow M50 toll payment deadline, you\u2019ll receive a \u2018First Penalty Notice\u2019 (STR). Your STR is a bill from eFlow for the cost of the toll and a \u20ac3.50 penalty for having missed the payment deadline. You have 14 days from the date of issue to pay for the trip and the initial penalty. If you do not pay during this timeframe, a further charge of \u20ac49.50 is applied.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”How can I pay once I get the letter?” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n Once you have received your penalty notice, the process is straight forward. Visit eFlow.ie and select Pay a Penalty<\/a>. You can also bring your penalty letter to any Payzone retail outlet and pay the outstanding balance there.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I haven\u2019t received a letter and I need a Journey Reference Number to pay the fine” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If you haven\u2019t received a penalty notice letter from us but need to pay your penalty, please contact us<\/a> and a member of our team will investigate.<\/p>\n To get a Journey Reference Number you can also use a previous letter you may have received for that vehicle from eFlow. Please click here<\/a> and enter your license plate number along with the Journey Reference Number from a previous letter.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I have received a penalty letter from eFlow” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If you do not pay an M50 toll you will receive a letter from eFlow.<\/p>\n There are three types of letter which cover three situations, they are:<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”First Penalty Notice Letter (STR)” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If you do not pay your toll before 8pm the day after your travel, a First Penalty Notice (STR) letter will be automatically issued to the registered vehicle owner\u2019s address. The STR includes the original toll charge plus a \u20ac3.50 late payment fee. If you have received a STR, you can pay the total balance due using one of the following options. Online at eFlow.ie. Select I Want to Pay a Penalty<\/a> on the home page or in person with cash\/card at any retail outlet nationwide which has the Payzone sign. Please bring the STR with you to scan the barcode.\u00a0Please be aware that journeys may be delayed in appearing on the system.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Unpaid Toll Notice Letter (UTN)” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If payment for a M50 toll charge and the STR is not made within 14 days, then an Unpaid Toll Notice (UTN) will be issued to the vehicle owner\u2019s registered address.<\/p>\n An UTN includes the charge for the original toll, the STR (\u20ac3.50) and an additional late payment penalty of \u20ac49.50.<\/p>\n If you have received an UTN, you can make a payment of the total balance due using one of the following options. Online at eFlow.ie by selecting I Want to Pay a Penalty<\/a> on the homepage or in person with cash\/card at any retail outlet nationwide which has the Payzone sign. Please bring the UTN with you to scan the barcode.<\/p>\n If payment is not made to cover the journey and penalties within 56 days of an UTN being issued, a further late payment penalty of \u20ac123.50 is applied to the journey. The transaction will also be passed to our legal team – Pierse Fitzgibbon Solicitors – for collection.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Outstanding Balance Reminder” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If you have received an \u2018Outstanding Balance Reminder\u2019 letter from eFlow, our Resolver team are on hand to assist you. The first step is to make contact with the Resolver team. They will talk you through your options for dealing with the outstanding balance. Remember, we work on resolving issues just like this every day so the sooner you get in touch the sooner we can help. The Resolver team can be contacted on 0818 50 70 50 (9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday).<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I have received a penalty letter from Pierse Fitzgibbon Solicitors LLP” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n Failure to pay the outstanding balance for a journey (including all penalties) within 72 days of the journey taking place may result in the initiation of legal proceedings and the matter will be passed on to Pierse Fitzgibbon Solicitors LLP. If you have received a letter from Pierse Fitzgibbon Solicitors LLP, click here<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I have received a penalty letter from Euro Parking Collection” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n Unpaid journeys made by a vehicle not registered within the Republic of Ireland will be passed to Euro Parking Collection.\u00a0Euro Parking Collection are a pan-European collection agency, and they have been authorised by eFlow to collect unpaid M50 tolls.\u00a0If you have received a letter from Euro Parking Collection, please click here<\/a> for more information.\u00a0<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I have received a letter with an extra charge but I\u2019ve already paid the original toll” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n There are a number of reasons why you might receive a fine from eFlow after paying your toll. If this is the case, please check:<\/p>\n For example, if you paid the M50 toll charge for a car (\u20ac3.70) after the toll payment deadline (8pm the next day), then the late payment penalty of \u20ac3.50 will still be owed. In this case, please call us on \u00a00818 50 10 50<\/a> to make an additional \u20ac3.50 payment to cover the penalty.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re ever unsure why you have received a penalty letter, please\u00a0contact us<\/a>\u00a0and one of our customer care team will be able to assist you with your query.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I forgot to pay my M50 toll” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If you forget to pay the M50 toll, an additional late payment penalty of \u20ac3.50 will be applied to the journey. A \u2018First Penalty Notice\u2019, will be issued to the registered vehicle owner\u2019s address. If payment is not made for the original toll and late payment penalty within 14 days, then a further fine will be incurred (\u20ac49.50). A letter called an \u2018Unpaid Toll Notice\u2019 will be issued to confirm this to the registered vehicle owner\u2019s address.<\/p>\n Should payment for the journey and late payment penalties remain outstanding 72 days later, a further late payment penalty of \u20ac123.50 is applied. The journey is also passed to eFlow\u2019s solicitors Pierse Fitzgibbon Solicitors for collection. Pierse Fitzgibbon Solicitors will issue a letter to this effect to the vehicle owner\u2019s registered address. At this stage, further non-payment may result in a legal action being taken against the registered vehicle owner.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][\/et_pb_accordion][et_pb_text admin_label=”Appeal Penalty (subtitle)” module_class=”faq-title sub” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]Appeal Penalty[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_accordion admin_label=”Sub Accordion” module_class=”faq-accordion sub with-bottom-border” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_accordion_item title=”first” open=”on” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” custom_css_main_element=”display: none;” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I already paid the toll” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If you believe that you’ve received a penalty letter in error, contact our customer service team and one of our agents will review your query.<\/p>\n You\u2019ll need to provide a payment receipt and the following additional information:<\/p>\n Please ensure the payment was made to the correct vehicle and within the payment deadline.<\/p>\n To help prevent you from reaching higher penalties, payments received from you by eFlow may be used to pay off outstanding journeys.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I did not use the M50 toll road at the time in question” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]Despite eFlow utilizing some of the most accurate vehicle recognition technology in the world, our cameras may – on very rare occasions – misread number plates.<\/p>\n If you believe you have wrongly received a bill, we advise you to contact us, and we will review your query.[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I have a tag with another tag provider” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n If you have recently changed your vehicle, please ensure that your tag information has been updated accordingly. Contact details for all Irish tag providers are available on the website.\u00a0If you’re sure that your tag is mounted correctly, sufficiently credited, and\/or hasn’t been reported as lost, stolen, or damaged, it’s possible that an incorrect license plate is associated with your tag.\u00a0To transfer all unpaid eFlow trips to your existing tag account click I Want to Appeal a Penalty<\/a> and fill out the required information. Once you’ve done this, we’ll check your details with your tag provider and, if possible, transfer all outstanding journeys to your existing tag account.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”I sold the car” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n Unregistered customers’ notifications of outstanding journeys are sent to the name and address to which their vehicle is registered with the Driver and Vehicle Computer Services Division (DVCSD).<\/p>\n If you\u2019ve recently sold the vehicle, the DVCSD should be notified, so their vehicle ownership records can be updated, as eFlow cannot update these details. However, once DVCSD records have been updated, our records will update automatically, too.<\/p>\n Please fill in Part B of the Vehicle Registration Certificate or log book and send it to:<\/p>\n Driver and Vehicle Licensing Computer Services Division, Once you’ve updated these details with the DVCSD , please contact us and we will review your query immediately.<\/p>\n If your vehicle is registered in Northern Ireland\/United Kingdom, please contact the Driver & Vehicle Agency to update the ownership records. If you received the fine for crossing the M50 toll please contact us and provide an official proof of sale i.e. sale invoice signed by both parties.
