All toll roads in Ireland are equipped to detect eFlow tags. Your tag should beep as you pass the toll point, however if it doesn’t it may relate to one of the following:
- Account suspended: Log in to check your account status and reactivate if needed.
- Faulty tag or low battery: Log in to order a replacement tag.
- Tag not assigned to vehicle: Log in to assign the tag to the correct vehicle.
- Payment failure: If a recent payment failed on your account, your tag may have been disabled. If you’ve since paid, the tag can take several hours before it will work again on non-M50 toll roads
- Did not beep: Your tag does not beep on the M3 and M4 but will work at the plaza
To correctly read your tag, make sure it is attached appropriately to your vehicle.
- Cars/vans: high up on your windscreen, ideally centred and just beneath the rear-view mirror.
- Lorries/buses: On the bottom centre of the windscreen.
Some windscreens have a metallic layer to reflect sunlight. The eFlow tag must be placed within the areas of the windscreen without this coating. Such areas are normally marked with a different colour or pattern.
